Accessibility Statement
In the event that you are unable to read any of the pages or documents on this website, please contact me and I will try to arrange a more accessible version for you.
Accessibility
I believe it is important that this website is usable by as many people as possible, regardless of disability, browser compatibility or other issues.
I am aiming to achieve conformance with the AA level of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, which should help to make the website accessible to almost all users with disabilities and benefit all users. You can find out more by reading this explanation of AA level.
This is an ongoing process and if I've missed anything, please contact me to let me know or with any other comments.

The access keys attribute is only supported by MS Internet Explorer 4 and above and by Netscape 6x versions. With Windows based systems the user has to press the 'Alt key' and the access key number or letter and then press the return key. With Macintosh based systems the user has to press the 'Ctrl key' and the access key number or letter and then press the return key.
Web Standards
This website has been created using XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2. Adherence to these web standards - the correct "grammar" of the world wide web - means that the website should be compatible with most, if not all, web browsers. Just to make sure, this website has been tested for compatibility with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape Browser, Opera and Lynx.
To check if I've done all this correctly, please feel free to subject any of the pages on this website to the W3C Markup Validation Service and CSS Validation Service. As before, I've missed anything, please contact me to let me know.
I would recommend using a standards compliant browser, such as Firefox or Opera. However, the website should also be usable on browsers which are not standards compliant.

Adobe Acrobat
Some documents in this site and some external links are to be found in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).
To view and print PDF files, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed: click the link below to download the software.
If you can’t use Acrobat Reader to see PDF documents (for example, if you use screen reader software or an audio-enabled web browser), Adobe provide a free online tool which converts them to text. To use this service, send the web address (URL) of the Adobe Acrobat document you want to read through the web form (www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html). The service will return the document to you as a web page (HTML) or as plain text. Alternatively, you can choose to get it emailed to you as an attachment.
